About Julian Troake
Julian Troake is the Global Industry Marketing Manager for Xerox Global Services, specializing in solutions for the financial services industry. He brings over 12 years of experience in marketing both in the U.S. and
Europe to help ensure Xerox clients have the best tools available to improve their critical, document-driven business processes.
Troake is responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy and plan for Xerox in the financial services industry. He leads a team dedicated to creating marketing communications to promote Xerox as a technology and services partner to a segment worth over $500 million. He also manages the Xerox Financial Services Advisory Council, a group which he founded that brings over 20 senior clients together to share best practices, uncover new customer needs and market-test new solutions.
Early in his career, Troake was a Marketing Manager of Global Accounts in
Uxbridge, England, coordinating marketing programs with business divisions and developing brochures and publicity efforts to raise awareness of Xerox among corporate customers. From this, he moved to become Business Manager of IT Sales Support, managing a team of 21 technical consultants, analysts and trainers, who together grew services sales revenue by 38 percent and exceeded plan by 19 percent. Prior to his current role, he was the U.K. Marketing Manager for financial services, developing and implementing market plans to drive awareness, increase market share, build new market channels and manage finance sector training for sales teams.
Before joining Xerox, Troake worked as a technical trainer for
Hewlett Packard, U.K.
He has written numerous articles, brochures and white papers that address document management issues faced by banks and investment firms, including “Ninety Days that Make or Break the Customer Relationship” and “A Thought Leadership Program for Xerox Global Services.” He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from
Cambridge University, England, as well as an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
