About Karen McDermott
Karen McDermott is the Industry Marketing Manager for the Financial Services industry vertical specializing in offerings and solutions that address the needs of the financial services industry. In this role she serves as the thought leader and spokesperson for the industry on behalf of Xerox within client and executive forums and with industry analysts. She is also the facilitator for the Executive Client Advisory Council, which provides bi-directional insight and recommendations for how Xerox addresses the challenges of clients within the Financial Services industry.
Current market conditions have created the demand for solutions that are designed to help financial services institutions lower costs and maximize existing technology and infrastructure. Karen works with the Xerox clients and Xerox account teams to identify areas within the business process that are document intensive so that Xerox can recommend a solution and improve the efficiency of the business process for the client.
Karen has 20 years of financial services marketing, communications and advertising experience. Prior to joining Xerox, Karen held numerous roles in the financial services industry focusing on internet marketing, executive communications, B to B marketing and brand advertising. McDermott holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University and Direct Marketing Certification from New York University. She is based in New York City.
